Program Overview

The joint providership of Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and Focus Medical Communications, in collaboration with the Association of Pulmonary Advanced Practice Providers, presents the COPD Mastery Bootcamp: Guideline Updates, Precision Medicine, & Real-World Decision Making. This educational activity will provide important clinical and scientific data on the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) involved in the management of patients with pulmonary disorders and diseases.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate evidence-based diagnostic and treatment strategies for COPD using updates from the 2025 GOLD guidelines.

  • Analyze clinical phenotypes, treatable traits, and emerging biomarkers to guide precision-based COPD management.

  • Evaluate the mechanisms, efficacy, and safety of new and emerging COPD therapies.

  • Apply patient-centered approaches to optimize treatment selection, reduce exacerbation risk, and improve real-world outcomes in COPD.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and Focus Medical Communications.  Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.  

 

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 2.0 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

 

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.0 contact hours (2.00 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy credit. Credit will be provided to the NABP CPE Monitor within 60 days after the activity is completed. 

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.0 ANCC contact hours, which will include pharmacology hours.
