ACCREDITATION

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of advanced practice providers (APPs) involved in the care of patients with pulmonary disorders and diseases.


Statement of Need

The goal of this program is to provide important clinical and scientific data on the management of pulmonary disorders and diseases.
 

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the key role APPs have in addressing the pulmonology workforce shortage

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the practical application of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and sleep devices

  • Appropriately order and interpret radiological imaging used in pulmonary medicine

  • Evaluate and apply diagnostic techniques for common pulmonary diseases

  • Formulate evidence-based treatment strategies for common pulmonary disorders and diseases

Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and Focus Medical Communications.  Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 10.75 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

 

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this live activity for a maximum of 10.75 contact hours (1.075 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy credit. Credit will be provided to the NABP CPE Monitor within 60 days after the activity is completed.


This activity is certified as a knowledge-based CPE.

Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this live activity for a maximum of 10.75 ANCC contact hours, which will include pharmacology hours.
