Program Overview
The joint providership of Medical Education Resources (MER) and Focus Medical Communications (Focus), in collaboration with the Association of Pulmonary Advanced Practice Providers (APAPP), Metabolic Advanced Practice Providers (MAPP), and Sleep Medicine Advanced Practice Providers (SMAPP) presents Bridging Pulmonary, Metabolic Health & Sleep: Precision Approaches to Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Management. The symposium will deliver focused, educational updates highlighting clinically relevant advances in the management of OSA.
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) involved in the management of patients with OSA.

Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

Differentiate the pathophysiologic drivers of obstructive sleep apnea across phenotypes to guide individualized treatment planning

Describe obesity as a chronic, serious, progressive disease and its role in the development and severity of obstructive sleep apnea and cardiometabolic comorbidities

Evaluate the evidence supporting current and emerging pharmacotherapies for obstructive sleep apnea.

Apply current guideline-aligned strategies to select and sequence OSA therapies to optimize symptom control, adherence, and downstream cardiometabolic risk.

Apply collaborative care models with sleep and metabolic specialists to support sustained management of obstructive sleep apnea.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Medical Education Resources (MER) and Focus Medical Communications. MER is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Medical Education Resources has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 2.0 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
Medical Educaiton Resources (MER) designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.0 contact hours (0.20 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy credit. Credit will be provided to the NABP CPE Monitor within 60 days after the activity is completed.
Medical Educaiton Resources designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.0 ANCC contact hours, which will include pharmacology hours.
